Nina M. Roket is Co-Managing/Administrative Partner, Co-Chair of the real estate group and Chair of the commercial leasing practice at Olshan. She is a nationally recognized commercial real estate lawyer focused on leasing, conveyancing and finance transactions and restructuring situations. Nina acts as a trusted advisor to family held firms, entrepreneurs, companies and investors.

Nina is Co-Managing Partner, member of the Executive Committee, Co-Chair of the Real Estate Law Practice, Chair of the Leasing Practice, Chair of the Hiring Committee, and Chair of the Women’s Committee of the firm.

Nina advises clients across the U.S. in sophisticated commercial real estate transactions, including leasing, sales, acquisitions, mortgage, mezzanine and preferred equity financings and joint ventures.

Nina also represents landlords and tenants in flexible workspace leases, management agreements and structured revenue sharing deals.

Nina actively represents and advises owners, tenants, and borrowers in lease and loan restructuring situations across the country. 

Nina acts as landlord's counsel at numerous office buildings in Midtown and Downtown New York City and also represents fashion companies, hedge funds, sports and entertainment companies, technology companies, medical institutions, start- ups and finance companies in leasing space for their headquarters.

In addition, Nina manages complex retail leasing transaction projects on behalf of numerous developers and owners at significant, high profile retail sites across the U.S., including New York, Miami Beach, Las Vegas, Beverly Hills and Atlantic City.

Nina has a specialty in hospitality, representing both owners and food and restaurant operators in food and beverage and restaurant leases.

Further, Nina has represented both owners and non-profit organizations in connection with the creation of leasehold condominiums and long term leases.

Nina has been consistently acknowledged as a leading lawyer and influencer in Real Estate, including being named as a Leading Women Lawyer in New York and Notable Diverse Leader in Law by Crain’s New York Business, induction by Real Estate Forum to the Women of Influence Hall of Fame list, and election by her peers for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America in Real Estate Law.

  • Represented the NBA’s Brooklyn Nets in a lease for its new corporate headquarters in Industry City, in Sunset Park in downtown Brooklyn. The new headquarters will occupy approximately 85,000 square feet in Building 19, which is also where the Nets' training facility is located.
  • Represented the borrower in a $100M mortgage financing from Bank of the Ozarks and $100M mezzanine financing from a foreign lender for its development site on the Upper East Side.
  • Represent Columbus Turnstyle LLC in the leasing, financing and development of TurnStyle, an underground marketplace in the 59th Street Columbus Circle concourse, including negotiating a master lease with the MTA, leases with individual retailers, financing and joint venture agreements, construction agreements and advertising agreements. The Turnstyle project was one of the thirteen retail deals nominated by The Real Estate Board of New York as "The Most Significant Retail Deal of the Year."
  • Represented the owner of 8 Times Square in a lease to Foot Locker for its prime Times Square location, which was recognized by The Real Estate Board of New York as “The Most Significant Retail Deal of the Year.”
  • Represented the owner of a NYC midtown luxury building in a lease to the Core Club, a high-end spa, fitness club and restaurant.
  • Represent Helm Equities in launching a mammoth 325,000 square foot hotel, retail and office development in the Design District in Miami, including the acquisition and financing of the project and negotiating a hotel management agreement and development agreement.
  • Represented the owner of a building on West 125thStreet in a lease to Bed Bath and Beyond.
  • Represented multiple landlords across the country in leases to H&M, including a lease in NYC for its largest store worldwide.
  • Represent the owner of various sites on Lincoln Road, Miami in retail leases to various national and local retailers and restaurateurs.
  • Represented Forest City Ratner in its leasing matters at The Bridge at Cornell Tech.
  • Represented a buyer of a partial interest in a 72-year leasehold, on the retail and medical suites at 2012-2018 Broadway, near Lincoln Center.
  • Represent the owner of a downtown New York City office building in a lease of approximately 240,000 square feet to an agency of the State of New York.
  • Represent a restaurant franchisee in its leasing projects in the New York metropolitan area.
