Amazon Tax Webinar: Summary and Podcast

The Webinar covered both the overall legal concerns about running affiliate programs as well as the new tax law, Amazon's lawsuit and what merchants must do to comply with the law.

The Webinar covered both the overall legal concerns about running affiliate programs (fraud, improper marketing by affiliates, etc.) as well as the new tax law, Amazon's lawsuit (whose recent dismissal, as discussed here, has been appealed by Amazon) and what merchants must do to comply with the law (with particular focus on the two technical service bulletins issued by New York, TSB-M-08(3)S and TSB-M-08(3.1)S. There were followup questions from the attendees, both during the Webinar and via e-mail.
