Andrew Lustigman to Speak on Global IP Frontiers in AI-Generated Advertising at IBA’s Annual Conference 2026 in Copenhagen

Andrew Lustigman, Chair of Olshan's Advertising, Marketing & Promotions Group and Co-Chair of the firm’s Brand Management & Protection Group, will chair the session “Artificial Intelligence and the Public Domain: Global IP Frontiers in AI-Generated Advertising” on October 8 from 9:30 A.M. – 10:45 A.M. at the International Bar Association’s Annual Conference 2026, which will be held at the Bella Center in Copenhagen, Denmark, from October 4 – 9. Andy will be joined in the session by Caroline Berube, Managing Partner at HJM Asia Law; Lars Bo Kirk, Co-CEO and Partner at FRIDAY; Maninder Gill, Head of Department and Partner at Simons Muirhead Burton LLP; and Kelley Loo, Partner at Deacons. The session will explore who owns a borderless, AI-generated brand identity and advertising creative and will cover the tension between innovation and authorship, contrasting the U.S. Copyright Office’s strict “human authorship” requirement with more permissive international jurisdictions.
