Olshan Client Perry Ellis Purchases Distribution Center of Bankrupt Fred’s Inc.

Bloomberg Law (subscription required) has reported on the sale of a Dublin, Georgia, distribution center previously owned by bankrupt retailer Fred’s Inc. to Olshan client Perry Ellis International Inc. The Tennessee-based retail and pharmacy chain, which filed for Chapter 11 relief in September, received approval from the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware to sell the property to Perry Ellis for $15.7 million. Representing Perry Ellis in this transaction was Jonathan Koevary, who led the bankruptcy auction and sale hearing, Adam Friedman from Bankruptcy, Steve Wolosky, Elizabeth Gonzalez-Sussman and Jason Saltsberg from Corporate; and Eric Goldberg from Real Estate.
