NYLJ Publishes Article by Jonathan Koevary and Robert Gagne on COVID-19 and its Effects on Bankruptcy and Commercial Leases

New York Law Journal recently published an article written by Olshan Bankruptcy partner Jonathan Koevary and Corporate associate Robert Gagne entitled “Bankruptcy and Commercial Lease Issues in a COVID-19 Disrupted World”. The article examines the legal and practical commercial lease issues arising from COVID-19’s effect on the bankruptcy strategy of retailers such as Modell’s and restaurateurs such as Craftworks, who filed for chapter 11 at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, its effect on their landlords, and the timing of payment of post-filing rents.
