Olshan Assists Eataly in Connection with $198M Majority Investment by a Private Equity Firm

Law360 reported that Olshan client Eataly secured a $198 million (€200 million) majority investment from private equity firm Investindustrial. The capital injection gives Investindustrial a 52% stake in the food chain and will allow Eataly to "retire net financial debt and maximize financial flexibility for the group's global expansion plans.”  Olshan advised Eataly on U.S. legal matters related to the transaction. For the past 20 years, Eataly has been a promoting the sale of high-quality Italian food products and restaurant concepts in prestigious locations globally. The Olshan team was led by partners Steven R. Gursky, real estate; Kenneth  M. Silverman, corporate, and Kyle Bisceglie, litigation, with assistance from John A. Corrado and Law Clerk Rachel L. Gold, corporate.
