Andrew Freedman Quoted by Bloomberg on Elon Musk’s Tweets Regarding His $44 Billion Twitter Takeover

Andrew Freedman, Olshan Partner and Co-Chair of the firm’s Shareholder Activism practice, was quoted in Bloomberg regarding Elon Musk’s Twitter acquisition and recent tweets suggesting he may be having second thoughts about his takeover. Musk had tweeted that the deal is temporarily on hold pending his review of how many Twitter users are comprised of bots and fake accounts. Musk later tweeted that he is still fully committed to the deal. When discussing Musk’s potential about-face and concerns about fake accounts, Andy noted that, “Musk should have slowed down for a second and not been so rash.” Andy emphasized the importance of due diligence, especially when dealing with, “…Buying a company the size of Twitter... But Musk is Musk and he’s going to do whatever he wants to do.”
