Olshan Client GFI Development Develops Landmark 5 Beekman

Firm News

The Wall Street Journal and The Real Deal featured a story on the landmarked 5 Beekman Street, long known as Temple Court and one of New York’s first “sky scrapers,” and details the renovations and additions that are being handled by Olshan client GFI Development. The $360 million project involves the restoration of the historic building, including the glass-and-iron atrium, into a luxury hotel and the addition of a conjoining 51-story condominium. Olshan Real Estate partner Alexander Ferrini, who specializes in Construction Law, represented GFI in connection with the design and construction of the project. Eric Goldberg and Hyman Kindler had earlier represented the Chetrit Group and Bonjour Capital in connection with their sale of the project to GFI. The Real Deal subsequently published articles including pictures of the condo units and news of their rapid sales.
