Shirlee Gordon Serves as Co-Counsel to 601W Companies in Acquisition of Downtown Chicago Office Building for $41M

The Real Deal, Crain’s Chicago Business (subscription required), Bloomberg and Law360 (subscription required) reported on the acquisition by the joint venture of Olshan client 601W Companies and David Werner Real Estate Investments of the 1.4 million square-foot, 22-story office building at 175 West Jackson Boulevard in Chicago, one of downtown Chicago’s largest office buildings. The sale price of $41 million is about 87 percent below the $306 million price Brookfield Asset Management paid for the property in 2018. Olshan tax counsel Shirlee Gordon served as co-counsel with Gerstein Strauss & Rinaldi.
