Kenneth Silverman and Kerrin Klein Publish Article in Securities Regulation Law Journal on SEC Rulemaking and Significant Litigation for Q1 2026
Olshan Corporate partner Kenneth Silverman and Litigation partner Kerrin Klein published an article in the Securities Regulation Law Journal, Summer 2026 ed. entitled “Quarterly Survey of SEC Rulemaking and Major Court Decisions.” The article reviews the SEC’s rulemaking activities and court decisions relating to federal securities laws from January 1, 2026 through March 31, 2026. “In the first quarter of 2026,” they write, “the SEC proposed three new rules, approved four final rules and published one interpretive release. After much anticipation, the SEC finally published guidance on the application of federal securities laws to certain crypto assets. At this time, this guidance is only interpretive guidance from the SEC, it is not codified. We expect there will continue to be discussions at the SEC and in Congress regarding regulations on crypto assets.”
