Olshan Serves as Co-Counsel to 601W Companies in Acquisition of 205 East 42nd Street for $165M

Commercial Observer (subscription required), The Real Deal, Crain’s New York Business (subscription required) and PincusCo (subscription required) reported on the acquisition by the joint venture of Olshan client 601W Companies and David Werner Real Estate Investments of the 532,000-square-foot, 21-story office building at 205 East 42nd Street in Midtown East from the Durst Organization for $165 million. In proximity to Grand Central Terminal, the building’s tenants include the City University of New York, Fedcap Rehabilitation Services and the United Way of New York City. Of Counsel Warren Gleicher led the Olshan team which included tax counsel Shirlee Gorden, that served as co-counsel with Lisa Rinaldi of Gerstein Strauss & Rinaldi.
