Wolosky Quoted in The Wall Street Journal on Goldman and Activist Campaigns

Olshan Activist Chair Steve Wolosky was quoted by The Wall Street Journal (subscription required) in an article featuring Goldman Sachs and how it successfully defended DuPont Co. against activist firm Trian Fund Management LP in a high-profile battle. Specifically, this victory came on the heels of two humbling defeats for the bank, most notably the momentous loss of Darden Restaurant’s 12 board seats to Olshan client Starboard Value LP in October. Goldman advised Darden in its defeat against Starboard and Wolosky goes on to say that “As an activist, when Bill [William] Anderson is on the other side, you have to be on your toes.” Steve Wolosky, Andrew M. Freedman and Meagan Reda represented Starboard in connection with its unprecedented activist campaign at Darden.
