Olshan’s Activist Practice Again Ranked as the #1 Law Firm in Shareholder Activism by Activist Insight

Activist Insight Monthly has ranked Olshan’s Shareholder Activism Practice as the #1 law firm in shareholder activism in the Activist Adviser Awards for 2020 as part of its December publication, a position it has held since the inception of the awards and for six consecutive years.  Activist Insight Monthly cited  97 activist campaigns for Olshan with total average market cap at $4.6B. Andrew Freedman, Co-Head of the practice, commented that despite a global slowdown due to the pandemic, there has been a noticeable uptick in activity more recently and “Activity levels show it should almost be back to normal for 2021 campaigns.” “It was harder for newcomers during the pandemic than the tried-and-true veteran activists, ” Andy surmised. “Now we’re seeing newcomers show the wherewithal to join the fray and launch campaigns.”
