Olshan Represents Food Technology Service, Inc. in $7.23 per Share Sale to Sterigenics International

Several news outlets, including Reuters, M&A Navigator, The Dealmakers Journal and Business Wire, announced that Olshan client Food Technology Service Inc., a regional provider of sterilization services, has entered into a definitive merger agreement, under which the company will be acquired by an affiliate of Sterigenics International LLC, a portfolio company of GTCR, LLC for $20.5 million, or $7.23 per share in cash. Olshan attorneys Steve Wolosky, Andrew Freedman and Alfonso Jimenez represented the Special Committee of the Board of Directors of Food Technology Services in its negotiation of the transaction and its recommendation to the full Board of Directors, which unanimously approved the merger agreement.  The merger is expected to close in the first quarter of 2014.
