Law360 Highlights Wolosky Comments on Tulane Conference Panel

March 21, 2016

Law360 covered the annual Corporate Law conference at Tulane University, citing Olshan Activist Chair Steve Wolosky’s commentary during a panel regarding the current state of shareholder activism. The discussion revolved around the continuing impact of shareholder activism on companies, board of directors and investors. Wolosky addressed the trend toward industry-specific deal-making and activists contemplating private equity as permanent capital. “Particularly the large activist funds are really thinking about permanent capital as a vehicle and also functioning more like private equity, and I do see that as a trend that is going to develop over the next couple of years,” Wolosky said.
