Law360 Reports on Alleged Bank Bond Price-Fixing Conspiracy

Firm News

Law360 (subscription required) reported on the bondholding investors in the Agencies Bond Antitrust Class Action suit being litigated in the Southern District of New York who have asked the court to keep alive the bond price-fixing claims they brought against numerous large banks. U.S. District Judge Jed Rakoff previously tossed the antitrust claims against several of the defending banks, including Olshan’s client UBS Securities LLC, ruling among other things an inadequate link between the claims and any conspiracy among the banks to fix bond prices. The investors filed a new complaint using the evidence of 19 chatroom excerpts from Deutsche Bank as part of its settlement with the bondholders. Olshan litigation partners Kyle Bisceglie and John Moon represent UBS Securities LLC in this matter.
