Meagan Reda Quoted in Bloomberg on H1 2022 Activist Advisor Rankings

Olshan partner Meagan Reda was recently quoted in a Bloomberg article that evaluated the data in Bloomberg’s Global Activism League Tables for H1 2022 where Olshan’s Shareholder Activism Practice again ranked #1, advising on 96 global activist campaigns worth over $13 billion. This is three times as many engagements as the next highest ranking law firm, and outpaces Olshan’s 74 engagements in the first half of 2021.  Meagan said that activist campaign work is rebounding after the Covid-19 pandemic, with activists becoming more confident targeting companies that have now had time to adjust.  Meagan further explained that she has recently noticed companies taking more preemptive actions to appease shareholders, such as adding multiple directors and making other governance changes, in an effort to fend off activist campaigns.
