Goldberg Leads Successful Closing on ArtCenter in Miami Beach

The Miami Herald reported that Olshan client Tristar Management LLC, with RFR Holding LLC, closed title to ArtCenter South Florida in Miami Beach. The bidding on this property was very competitive, with Tristar principal David Edelstein competing with multi-national companies such as Zara, Vornado Realty Trust and Acadia Realty Trust. Despite having a lower bid, Edelstein was awarded the deal by reason of his tenacity and willingness to close title to a $90 million asset in 10 days, in addition to Olshan’s ability to arrange a sit-down contract signing to which we weren’t invited and to close a $108 million financing with a German lender/partner in such a short time. Several Olshan departments worked together, led by Real Estate partner Eric Goldberg. The team included Real Estate counsel Hyman Kindler. Goldberg regularly represents Edelstein in all manners of real estate transactions.

The Real Deal noted the ArtCenter South Florida sale as one of the top 10 building sales in South Florida in 2014.
