Grubb & Ellis Brokers Appeal Decision Allowing Sale of G & E to BGC Partners

Firm News

The Registry reports a client group of Grubb & Ellis brokers have filed an appeal in federal bankruptcy court objecting to a judge’s order approving the sale of Grubb & Ellis to BGC Partners, Inc. Michael Fox says the appeal was filed because some of the brokers’ objections were ignored by the court. Further, he said, "they (BGC) are acquiring Grubb & Ellis assets free and clear of any lien, and I think they should be subject to the brokers’ claims." Fox hopes to gain relief for all Grubb brokers and agents who have similar claims and objections.
