Olshan Represents Engaged Capital in Investment in SunOpta

Olshan represents Engaged Capital, LLC in its investment in SunOpta Inc. (Nasdaq:STKL) (TSX:SOY), a leading global company focused on plant-based foods and beverages, fruit-based foods and beverages, and organic ingredient sourcing and production. Under the terms of the agreement, funds managed by Engaged Capital and Oaktree Capital Management, L.P. will invest up to a total of $60 million in SunOpta in the form of exchangeable preferred shares. As part of the transaction, SunOpta has committed to nominating a designee of Engaged Capital to serve on its board of directors. Olshan partners Steve Wolosky, Michael Neidell and Ryan Nebel represented Engaged Capital in this matter.
