Speaking Engagement

Andrew Lustigman, Chair of Olshan's Advertising, Marketing & Promotions Group and Co-Chair of the firm’s Brand Management & Protection Group, will chair the session “Artificial Intelligence and the Public Domain: Global IP Frontiers in AI-Generated Advertising” from 9:30 A.M. – 10:45 A.M. and will also participate in the session “Legal Marketing in the Digital Age: Social Media, Self-Promotion and Professional Ethics” from 2:30 P.M. – 3:45 P.M. on October 8 at the International Bar Association’s Annual Conference 2026, which will be held at the Bella Center in Copenhagen, Denmark, from October 4 – 9. For “Artificial Intelligence and the Public Domain: Global IP Frontiers in AI-Generated Advertising,” Andy will be joined by Lars Bo Kirk, Co-CEO and Partner at FRIDAY; Maninder Gill, Head of Department and Partner at Simons Muirhead Burton LLP; and Kelley Loo, Partner at Deacons. This session will explore who owns a borderless, AI-generated brand identity and advertising creative and will cover the tension between innovation and authorship, contrasting the U.S. Copyright Office’s strict “human authorship” requirement with more permissive international jurisdictions. For “Legal Marketing in the Digital Age: Social Media, Self-Promotion and Professional Ethics,” Andy will be joined by Liat Keisary, Partner at Barnea Jaffa Lande & Co Law Offices. This session will examine the growing use of platforms such as LinkedIn, Instagram and TikTok by lawyers and law firms to build their professional profiles, promote their practices and attract clients. In particular, it will explore where the line should be drawn between legitimate marketing and conduct that may be inconsistent with applicable professional and ethical rules.
