Andrew Freedman Quoted in Bloomberg Law Story on Olshan’s Uniquely Singular Focus on the Investor-Side of Shareholder Activism

Olshan Co-Managing Partner and Chair of the firm’s Shareholder Activism Practice Andrew Freedman was quoted in a  Bloomberg Law story on the growing competition among leading law firms to recruit experienced shareholder activism attorneys as the number of activist campaigns continues to rise. Per Bloomberg’s Activism Advisory League Tables for FY 2025, Olshan advised on 134 activist engagements last year and has held the leadership position in shareholder activism since the league tables' inception. As demand for highly experienced counsel grows, specialist firms play a more integral role than ever in high-profile engagements. Andy emphasizes Olshan’s singular concentration on shareholder activism, noting, “Because this is all we do, we’re very unique.” Moreover, to complement its Shareholder Activism Practice, Olshan plans to launch a fund formation group this year, Andy said, a practice that would help clients create hedge funds or additional investment vehicles.
