Tamara Carmichael has extensive experience in both intellectual property and advertising, marketing and promotions law.

Tami’s focus is counselling clients, including brand owners and advertisers, in the commercialization and expansion of their brand assets through strategic protection and enforcement of intellectual property and related proprietary rights. Tami oversees global portfolios, digital rights management, branding initiatives and litigation strategies with a business and open minded approach, taking into account each client’s nuanced needs and goals.  She handles transactional matters including licensing, development and joint ventures and litigation before the TTAB and state and federal courts related to claims of infringement, unfair competition, false advertising, publicity rights and UDRP disputes.  

Tami works with clients in a myriad of business sectors on the brand and agency side, including fashion, beauty, technology, hospitality, media, entertainment and in the financial sector. 

Prior to joining Olshan, Tami was a partner at Loeb & Loeb, LLP. Previously she was a partner in the New York office of Holland & Knight LLP and served as head of the intellectual property group at Broad and Cassel in Florida.
