Elizabeth Gonzalez-Sussman Quoted in Bloomberg on Shareholder Proposals for Racial Equity Audits

Olshan Partner in the firm’s Shareholder Activist practice and Head of ESG Activist Investing Elizabeth Gonzalez-Sussman was recently quoted in a Bloomberg article entitled ”ESG Investors Push More Racial Issues After Wins at Apple, J&J”.  The article discusses the growing momentum and impact of shareholder proposals demanding racial equity or civil rights audits. Several large companies, such as Apple Inc. and Johnson & Johnson, have seen such proposals pass this year, and more proposals are pending at several other companies.  Elizabeth is quoted in her discussion about how shareholder support for the proposals sends a strong message to companies and has an impact even if a proposal doesn’t pass.
