Chair, Insurance Coverage Law Practice

Anthony B. Crawford

As Chair of Olshan’s Insurance Coverage Law Practice, Anthony Crawford is a trusted advisor and fierce advocate for policyholders across a wide range of industries, helping them obtain tens of millions of dollars in recoveries.

Anthony has more than 13 years of experience representing various high-profile clients in complex insurance recovery disputes in industries ranging from banking, financial institutions and religious organizations. Guiding clients on many types of policies, he has obtained over $100 million in judgments and settlements in state and federal courts, as well as through mediations and domestic and international arbitrations.

Anthony advises clients on coverage under virtually every major line of insurance, including commercial general liability (CGL), directors and officers (D&O), errors and omissions (E&O), cyber, products recall, property and builders’ risk policies. He partners with clients to navigate intricate coverage issues and resolve high-stakes disputes efficiently, and with a focus on protecting their business interests. He handles litigation and arbitration for policyholders, developing effective solutions to complex insurance coverage disputes and property insurance appraisals both domestically and internationally.

Prior to his legal career, Anthony served as an officer in the United States Marine Corps for almost 12 years as a helicopter pilot and held several positions specializing in project management and operations training. His military background informs his disciplined, mission-driven approach to advocacy and client service.

Anthony has been recognized as a Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD) Fellow and serves as a guest lecturer at Columbia Business School, where he speaks on the legal implications of artificial intelligence.
