Andrew Freedman Quoted in Business Insider on Big Tech and Climate Crisis

Olshan Partner and Co-Chair of the firm’s Shareholder Activism Group Andrew Freedman was recently quoted in Business Insider regarding the effects of climate change on Big Tech and ESG. Mr. Freedman noted, “It was once thought that Big Tech would slip off the radar of ESG-minded investors, given the notion that tech giants were assumed to have low carbon footprints. That’s all changing now as data centers are chewing up more energy than ever before,” as shareholder activism is bound to heat up due to this. He added that, “there exists the perfect storm for a wave of ESG activism,” as tech companies partake in other battles regarding data privacy and diversity.
