Olshan Frome Wolosky LLP announced today that Legal 500 United States 2016’s ranking of leading law firms and attorneys has named the firm as leading in Advertising and Marketing, and  Advertising, Marketing & Promotions chair Andrew B. Lustigman and partner Tamara Carmichael have been highlighted as recognized lawyers.

“We are delighted to have been acknowledged by Legal 500 as leading lawyers in Advertising and Marketing,” said Mr. Lustigman, “This is a unique, fast-paced area of practice, and the work that we do for our advertising and marketing clients at Olshan is cutting-edge and sophisticated, so it’s a particular honor to be recognized by peers, clients and Legal 500.”

As noted in Legal 500, Olshan’s Advertising, Marketing & Promotions group, “advises across the whole spectrum of contentious, regulatory and transactional matters, with a specific focus on some of the more niche areas of advertising and marketing law, including direct marketing, sweepstakes and contest law, and false advertising litigation.”  Mr. Lustigman and his representation of Rent the Runway Foundation and the recent addition of Tamara Carmichael as partner are highlighted.  Legal 500 also notes Olshan’s “experience advising on internet and mobile marketing law, and on regulatory matters, including representing clients before the NAD, CARU and FTC.”

Mr. Lustigman was also recently named as one of “America’s Leading Lawyers for Business” in Chambers USA, Advertising: Transactional & Regulatory (Nationwide), where he’s been ranked  for nine consecutive years.  He was acclaimed by peers for his skill as an NAD practitioner and for his traditional advertising expertise.

Olshan is consistently recognized by business, legal and trade publications as a leading law firm, and most recently the firm was honored as a top 20 midsize law firm in the National Law Journal’s "2016 Midsize Hot List,” awarded to those firms, “charting winning courses in high-stakes matters that led to key victories in 2015.” Mr. Lustigman’s success in a team effort with the Litigation practice in winning a dismissal of all trademark and related state law claims by Lions Gate Entertainment Inc. against their clients, Havas Worldwide and TD Ameritrade Holding Corp. was highlighted in the article.

Other recent accolades include 2016 Chambers USA’s acknowledgement of the Real Estate practice and recognition of two Olshan attorneys as “America’s Leading Lawyers for Business”; consistent top rankings across the board for Olshan’s Shareholder Activism practice in every league table and publication that covers shareholder activism; the selection of five partners for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America© 2016; and U.S. News-Best Lawyers® “Best Law Firms” 2016 “Tier 1” National Rankings for Securities and Capital Markets, “Tier 2” National Rankings for Real Estate Law, and “Tier 1” rankings in the New York City Metropolitan area for both Securities and Capital Markets and Real Estate Law, in which Olshan was the only midsize law firm in New York to receive a “Tier 1” ranking for Securities and Capital Markets; and thirty-nine attorneys were selected for Super Lawyers® 2015 New York Metro.
