Fleming Represents Client in $18M Lawsuit Over Real Estate Deal

Olshan Litigation partner Thomas Fleming is representing the plaintiff in an $18 million lawsuit involving a real estate deal in which the defendant signed a purchase and sales agreement in February 2016 to sell 82 buildings to the plaintiff.  The lawsuit states that the defendant had intent to defraud by falsely claiming to have full power to sell the 82 properties.  Additionally, the defendant demanded supplementary payment in addition to receiving monies from the escrow account set up for the transaction without providing a customary declaration confirming ownership of the properties.
