Ferrini Selected as Construction Counsel on Five New Pacific Park Buildings

Firm News

The Real Deal and GlobeSt.com reported that the $4.9 billion Atlantic Yards project being developed by Forest City Ratner Cos. and Greenland USA has been renamed Pacific Park Brooklyn.  CookFox Architects will design the two multifamily towers at the mixed-use development in Downtown Brooklyn. Thomas Balsley Associates will design an eight-acre open space to be known as Pacific Park, after Pacific Street, which runs through the center of the project. CookFox has already begun design work on 535 Carlton Avenue at Dean Street, which will contain approximately 300 affordable units for low-, moderate- and middle-income tenants. Shortly after construction begins in December, plans for a condominium building with 275 market-rate units at 550 Vanderbilt Avenue at Dean Street will begin. SHoP Architects expects that construction on another 100-percent affordable rental building at 30 Sixth Avenue will begin in June 2015. Construction Law Partner Alexander Ferrini was selected as construction counsel to the developer for this group of projects.
