Bisceglie and Fox Represent Yu-Gi-Oh! in Bankruptcy Dispute

Firm News

The Wall Street Journal reported that a lawsuit filed by Olshan on behalf of TV Tokyo Corporation and Nihon Ad Systems, Inc. (“NAS”) against 4Kids Entertainment seeking millions of dollars in damages for fraud and violations of licensing agreements for the Yu-Gi-Oh! franchise “catapulted 4Kids into bankruptcy protection.” The WSJ also reported that 4Kids seeks to enforce an automatic stay under the Bankruptcy Code to prevent TV Tokyo and NAS from exercising control over the rights. TV Tokyo and NAS are opposing the move as a mischaracterization and abuse of the automatic stay.

Kyle C. Bisceglie and Michael S. Fox represented the plaintiffs in the action.
