PETER D. WEINSTEIN

Mr. Weinstein has been practicing law for over 45 years. He conducts his practice in corporate finance, mergers and acquisition and insurance litigation. He has served as general counsel to a major producer of equipment for the pulp and paper industry and has represented one of the world's largest international publishing firms, major French insurance companies, the largest fruit importers in Canada, domestic banks, a merchant banking firm, several of the largest television post production companies, and a French pharmaceutical manufacturer. He regularly negotiates transactions in French as well as English.
Mr. Weinstein has written extensively in the fields of domestic and international law, with articles appearing in The Encyclopedia Americana and The Indian Journal of International Law. Mr. Weinstein became a lawyer after he served as an officer in the U.S. Army and was a lecturer in law at the University of Maryland.
Prior to joining Olshan, Mr. Weinstein was of counsel in the corporate department at Morrison Cohen LLP.
