After graduating from the University of Connecticut School of Law, Michael was a clerk for the Honorable Thomas G. West for the Connecticut Appellate Court. Following his clerkship, he worked as a litigation associate for a Connecticut law firm and argued before the Connecticut Supreme Court and Appellate Court. Most recently, Michael litigated matters in New York including (i) a successful argument in New York Supreme Court on behalf of numerous NASD brokers and a brokerage firm against a preliminary injunction in aid of arbitration; (ii) a successful motion to dismiss an appeal to the Appellate Division, First Department as moot; (iii) playing an important role in winning a sizeable award in an American Arbitration Association breach of contract matter on behalf of a New York licensor against a Rhode Island corporation; and (iv) examining a key witness in an NASD arbitration on behalf of a New York brokerage firm.
