Mr. Levy is counsel to Olshan in the Business Restructuring and Bankruptcy practice group. He specializes in commercial litigation in bankruptcy court and other federal courts. Most recently, he prosecuted breach of fiduciary duty claims against the officers and directors of Regional Diagnostics in the Northern District of Ohio and represented Wall Street Deli and Basketball City USA as debtors in possession in the Southern District of New York. He has represented Clayton County, Georgia, the largest local tax creditor of Delta Airlines, the Retirees' Committee in the TWA airline liquidation, and routinely defends many substantial fraudulent conveyance and preferential transfer actions. As creditors' committee counsel, he has participated in contested confirmation and valuation litigation as well as in the monitoring of all aspects of the debtor's operations and litigation inherent in that watchdog role. In liquidation cases he has overseen the winding up of the debtor's affairs, the pursuit of claims against insiders, the reduction of all estate assets to cash and the rendering of distributions to creditors. He has represented major manufacturers including Thomson Inc. f/ka/ Thomson Consumer Electronics, Conair Corporation, Bush Industries, O'Sullivan Industries and Sauder Woodworking as creditors and as defendants in bankruptcy court. He has also represented unsecured creditors' committees in retail, health care and financial services cases. His practice is geographically diverse, having appeared in bankruptcy court not only in the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York but in Delaware, Houston, Miami, New Jersey and St. Louis as well.

Before joining the bar, Mr. Levy worked for 12 years in NYC Board of Education alternative high schools in the South Bronx. He has served on the board of and worked with the University Settlement House, the oldest settlement house in the country, which serves low-income residents of the Lower East Side of New York City.
