Jessica Berets' practice encompasses various aspects of real estate law, including commercial leasing and the acquisition, development, and financing of residential, mixed use and commercial properties. Prior to joining Olshan, Jessica practiced in the real estate group of Paul, Hastings, Janofsky & Walker LLP and, most recently, as in-house associate leasing counsel for SL Green Realty Corp.
REPRESENTATIVE MATTERS
• Represented various landlords in connection with: a lease of 50,000 plus square feet of office space in south midtown Manhattan, leases with two celebrated Manhattan chefs in a premier residential apartment building, and several net leases of garages, one of which was for a premier condominium being developed in midtown Manhattan.
• Represent a national restaurant franchisee in several of its leasing projects in New York State.
• Represented a local developer in a $95,000,000 construction and mezzanine loan financing and a $165,000,000 construction loan financing for two residential buildings in Manhattan.
• Represented a developer in Miami in its acquisition of a leasehold and fee interest in a building in Miami, obtaining a loan for such acquisitions and the future development of the property, and the initial leasing of the building to three retailers, two of which have stores throughout the world.
