Victor M. Rosenzweig

Over the course of his 50-year career, Victor Rosenzweig counseled corporations and investors regarding every aspect of corporate and securities law. Although no longer engaged in active practice, Victor mentors the firm’s lawyers, advising on career development and client service, and helping guide the next generation of Olshan leaders.

Victor is currently a director of Shenkman Capital Management, Inc., a registered investment adviser specializing in high-yield securities, alternative credit and leveraged loan strategies. He also was a board member of American Pacific Corporation, a Nasdaq-listed company, and a former board member and foundation chairman of Services For the Underserved, a $75+ million N.Y.C.-based nonprofit organization. He served on the Board of Editors and Advisors for the Securities Regulation Law Journal from 2004-2018 and authored the Journal’s Quarterly Survey of SEC Rulemaking and Major Appellate Decisions. Victor continues on the Board of Contributing Editors and Advisors.

Victor was a director of Reverse Mortgage Investment Trust Inc., a qualified FHA and GNMA lender, until its sale in December 2020 and served as counsel to numerous investment advisory firms. Applying his exceptional knowledge and skills he honed in practice, Victor brought uncommon insight in advising clients in the areas of Federal Securities law and investment company management.

Currently, Victor has been mentoring and providing scholarships to students of Baruch College from which he graduated.

  • Served as legal adviser to an investment adviser with over $25 billion AUM and counsel for the largest independent U.S. service provider to nursing home facilities (Nasdaq/NMS).
  • Served as counsel in various M&A transactions involving investment advisory and securities brokerage businesses.
  • Served as legal adviser to a NYSE-listed Real Estate Investment Trust.
