The grand paintings adorning our staircase, Lord of Darkness and Kyo-So, which are captured in some of our attorney pictures, are just some of the original works of Abstract Expressionist John Little which grace our halls. We are very fortunate to display many of John Little's paintings, on loan from his daughter, Abigail Tooker, and her family, dear friends of one of our partners.
John Little (1907-1984) was an abstract expressionist who painted for much of his life in his studio on Three Mile Harbor Road, East Hampton. A student of Hans Hofmann, Little is recognized for his "open, broad planes of color juxtaposed one against the other." The Firm is indebted to the Tooker family for allowing the beauty of his works in our work space. |
